Urgent Action needed in Road Accident Claims!

What is the problem?

The law is changing.  There is to be a very large cut in the damages which insurance companies will have to pay to accident victims for their injuries.

That, with other changes being made, will also make it much harder for accident victims to get the legal advice which they need.

Who will be affected?

The great majority of innocent people injured in road accidents.

When is this happening?

At the moment, the Government is planning to bring the new law into force in May 2021.

It has still not been made clear, but you must assume that all claims could be caught by the new law – even for accidents happening before May.

What should I do?

You may be able to stop the new law catching your claim if you act now.

If you have a claim ongoing with a solicitor, we suggest that you contact them now to see if there is anything more which you need to do before the new law comes in.

If you have not yet started your claim, we suggest that you contact a specialist solicitor straight away.

If you are making a claim with an insurance company direct, we also suggest that you contact a specialist solicitor straight away.  We do not recommend that you rely on the insurance company to advise you on the new law.
